All Grown Up

All Grown Up

A Poem by The Glassface

Glitter eyes float on the misty dawn of new vision
Aluminum wrapping slithers down a generation
Fledgling waves take flight in a disco charade
Not like back in my day.

Hissing screams of a lost time from open secrets
Three eyes all blind shutter from shock
Grasping at strange scintillating currents
Kids shouldn't act like this.

Spinning mirrors beam reflections of dreams lost
Shining lights unto those not yet risen from
Wave your wand, chattering magic takes flight
Whatever happened to respect?

A little escape lets souls survive
Static induced nightmares beget unrest
Clear to the distant Orion, drop your roots
Someday, they'll learn.
