The Shadow

This is a free verse that inspired my nano novel

The Shadow was all she was
A thief, A pickpocket
Her black hair as black as night
She was clad in black
To blend into the night
The only thing that glittered was her sword
It glittered in it’s scabbard
With flame like rubies on the hilt
She got it from the night
The night was her time to steal
The night was her’s, The night was only her’s
No matter what the people said
It’s was her’s to plunder, steal, and hide
Jewels, Diamonds, Rubies
Swords, Daggers, Staffs
Dresses, Crowns, Rings
Pearls
All for her and no one else.
The shadow never gives
The shadow only takes.
