Love's Promise Is a LieA Poem by Spilt StardustLove comes at a price. It always does. Is love worth the price? Are you willing to pay up?
Rearrange my heart
Into a shining star So when it breaks Stardust falls into the skies And shapes the space deep in Your eyes So you become the fire Burning desire Ignight the light It's so hot you perspire Passion and anger put into one Love is rage: the fun has begun Where in reality Is everyone happy Sorry to break it to you But there's no such thing We just do what we do And eventually someone sings Of hate and grief Or of stupid beliefs And someone's bound to be angry To fall in love is to open your armor to the enimie Say I don't care anymore just get me Give your heart to someone to break Say my happiness is up for the take As long as it's not gone forever I know it's something I'll remember When I feel the cold in December Sign a contract Sell your soul Be bound to love and nothing more All love is Is passion and hate Anger and grief Romantic dates Gaze at the stars Until the world falls apart In only a matter of days The world you know comes crashing down Before you know it you fall to the ground Everything you knew is no longer around Love comes at a price Are you willing to pay Because two can be lonier (than one) On any given day © 2015 Spilt StardustAuthor's Note
