Half Hearted Prayer to GodA Poem by Spilt StardustI've grown up religious. But I've branched out from my roots. I don't believe in what I used to anymore. This is my half-hearted prayer to God.
God please me I'm crying
Slowly fading I'm dying I poured out most of my soul But it hardened and shattered Everything I thought was important to you must not matter Everything I ever knew was one big lie Prove me wrong now, God, Let me see through your eyes If you truly do love me Like you say Answer to me now Don't let my prayer go to waste I know I've been doubting But I have one last hope And I holding on to it with just a thread Not a rope I tell you my pleas But you never agree You stay sitting up in heaven Looking down on me You're probably saying No you don't understand Well, how can I If you don't give your hand If you fail me now I know ill feel wretched How can you cause so much pain If you're so big and blessed It's probably "beyond my comprehension" But I feel like an experiment in which you're testin © 2015 Spilt StardustAuthor's Note
