Widowed PawsA Poem by ThePhoenixWriterin the heart of the Alaskan wilderness, a dog gets to live the life and dies the life
He ran with glee in the white breeze
Nothing could hold him Nothing could free him But the arms of his master Let go at last Woof woof he whimpered No longer pampered His heart grew dark, a desolate place A hunger he could not replace In the white he lay Loving endless all night all day A furry widow loyal till his end Nothing could free him Nothing could hold him He lay with grief in the white ash
