Darkness

Other than the last few lines I spent time writing this for school. My teacher had changed the due date to the day that I came back from being sick.

Darkness has been creeping over this world for sometime

We could have stopped it on a dime

We would rather sit back and watch

While in hand is a shot of scotch

 

We scoff at those we deem as lessors

When In reality we are the lessors

In the great words of Martin Niemöller

We will all fall into the footsteps of others’ mistakes

 

With countless and senseless war

Everyday seems closer to the end

Hope is the thing keeping us together.

Hope is the light at the end of this tunnel of darkness
