The finale to the "If Only" series. The journey is rough, but the purpose behind is a blissful one. HE knows what's best for my life.

Once blemished

Delivered down the depths of guilt and lust

Once demolished

Shattered, crushed and ground to fine dust

 

Remained anguished

Drowned in angry “how” and “why”

Hope relinquished

Thoughts converged to one word - “die”

 

Felt cherished

When the love of the Lord dawns on me

Astonished

At how my story transforms another story

 

Reestablished

I’m no longer a hollow zombie

Polished

My imperfections are reworked into beauty

Beatitude replenished

For I am, at last, set free

I love the way this was written! It is so unique and different. I loved how the story starts out to finally roll into a happy ending. I love the last verse, espechially the last line. "For I am, at last, set free." You couldn't have ended it in a more perfect way.

Thanks Stella! I found the way to end the lengthy pain haunting me since 15 (yes, the one I've told you) around two months ago. It took me three weeks to craft this piece - there had been too much to write about! I told myself I'll start anew after finishing this one.

The ending stanza really brings a finality to the whole thing. I liked the way how you started each stanza with one word and explained it in the next lines...
