Wishing You Would Somehow DisappearA Poem by The Exiled WolfAdapted from "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" of "The Phantom of the Opera" by Andrew Lloyd Webber, but this piece conveys the opposite message. A lament sung to the perpetrator. You were once my one companion You were my source of smile You were once a friend and brother Then my life was defiled
Wishing you would somehow disappear Wishing you were nowhere near Think of my screams, no self-esteem I would still burst in tears
Wishing I would never see your face Let me forget my disgrace Night after night, dream of that sight Setting my soul ablaze
Lustful moans, and sinful touches Sinister and fateful Unheard No’s, and helpless struggles You were tyrannical
Too many years, fighting back tears Why can’t the past just die?
Wishing you would somehow disappear Hoping we could say goodbye Try to forgive, struggle to live Give me the strength to try
No more memories, no more silent tears No more gazing across the wasted years Help me say goodbye Help me say goodbye © 2017 The Exiled WolfAuthor's Note
