As always translations at the bottom.Conquered by Love "Sarah, you'll be needing to stay near Jack, correct?" asked Alana. "Yes." said Sarah. "Could you also take care of Daisuke for me?" asked Alana lifting her beloved little boy into Sarah's arms. "Yes, of course." said Sarah. Daisuke giggled and waved his fat little fist in the air, his big brown eyes framed by blue-black hair. Alana gave his forehead a kiss. "What are you doing? Kanda is going to lop some heads off if he finds out your doing anything dangerous." sniffed Siana wiping her eyes. "Yeah, well..." said Alana unable to really find a response to that. "I am still going." "I am coming with you!" said Siana quickly. "Siana, that baby is about ready to "pop out of your belly" as Rylie says." sighed Alana. "He's my husband! I have to help!" Said Siana. "What if- What if she went to the Order?" asked Sarah. Both friends stared at her incredulously, "I-I mean-! the Order isn't allowed to turn away people in need! And Siana is pregnant... they'd let her in. The Cardinal is the Apocyphos... he might be keeping either Allen or Tyki at the Order." "Yes! I'll do that!" said Siana looking relieved. "Tyki is going to kill you...." warned Alana. "Good. If he's in condition to kill me after all this than it will mean he's alive." said Siana firmly. Alana sighed, she knew nothing she said would talk siana out of this now. "Okay, I'll go after the Earl and see if I can find Rachel." said Alana. "Stay safe." whispered Siana hugging her friend tightly. "You too." said Alana hugging back tightly. "Don't tell the kids." pleaded Siana to Sarah. "I'll keep them safe until your return." smiled Sarah shifting Daisuke to her hip before giving each girl a hug. Separating, Alana couldn't help but think of how much things had changed since they'd last tried to rescue their loved ones from the Earl and Order. **** "I can't do this anymore..." moaned Alana carefully releasing young bookman whom she had been protecting from the Noah of Desires. Cheryl, for his part, was in a state of high agitation... not that this was anything new. What with Road's disappearance and his little brothers continued captivity by "That wretched-seduecing-flying-she-devil" his temper had a tendency to go up and down like a yoyo. Alana wanted nothing more than to get as far away from the crazy Noah as possible. "Maninho!" cried Cheryl suddenly gleeful as he bounded across the room as someone came the the door. Sighing, Alana drifted after him, used to by now the mans lapses into Portuguese. "Saia irmão me." growled the newcomer pushing Cheryl off him. Alana watched him with interest. The man looked very similar to Cheryl except younger with shorter hair and a small beauty mark under his left eye. Luminescent purple butterflies fluttered droopily about him. This must be the 3rd Noah child; Joyed, the Noah of Pleasure... aka the little brother Cheryl had been going crazy over. Alana wondered which one of her friends had been assigned to him, but from what she could see there was no one. "Não ser Tyki tão triste!" sang Cheryl cheerfully, "Aquela puta não merece o seu mau humor." "Don't talk about Siana that way," snarled Joyed, Alana gasped, "I am going to bed, don't disturb me." "B-but-but broooother!" wailed Cheryl as Joyed walked off. Alana could barely contain her excitement: if Siana was the 3rd Noah's watcher then she must be near by! And since their Noah were siblings than maybe she could spend more time with her friend! her joy was quickly crushed however and Cheryl started muttering to himself, "That @#$%^! She's stealing my precious brother from me! I'll kill her! I'll kill her! I'llkillherI'llkillher!!!!" "Oh? I take it Tyki-pon is back? <3" inquired the Earl bouncing in. Alana quickly double checked that her presence was completely hidden. "Earl-sama! Tyki is being so cruel to me!" blubbered Cheryl. "Ah... so the brat left like she was told?! teehee! what a fool! As if that would make me release the heart's child! Then again, it's her friend's baby, she probably couldn't help it... hoohoo! this just keeps getting better!<3" sang the Earl happily. 'What?!' thought Alana with alarm. "But she stole Tyki's powers!" said Cheryl. "Did she...? ooh! even better!" "Why?" asked Cheryl. "Ah... silly Cheryl, something as pure as a つばさ can not withstand dark matter in their body unless it's dormant!" "So if we were to activate it somehow..." said Cheryl the beginnings of a sadistic smile forming on his face. "Exactly! And, if my calculations are correct then they will be coming to rescue the Heart's child within the week!" "Oh no! I have to warn Siana not to come!" whispered Alana quickly running out of the ark and flying into town. **** Alana had no idea where Siana would be. However, since Road's disappearance Sarah had been able to travel freely and had visited everyone at one point or another. Alana touched down in front of the house Sarah had told her she was staying at. Quickly transforming into her normal human form Alana hurried forward. Not nothing to knock in her haste Alana quickly ran through the entryway and up the stairs throwing open the door to Sarah's room. "Sarah! Quick it's an emergency! Siana is- wha?!" said Alana startled at the scene before her. In Sarah's room there was a table set up for what looked like was an english tea. At the table sat Sarah and a very good looking man with and long blond braid who was holding Sarah's chin and attempting to feed her red faced friend a cookie. "Alana!" said Sarah looking both relieved and embarrassed as she shoved the man away and stood hastily, "Ah, Jack this is my friend Alana that I told you about, Alana this is my... my friend Jack who is letting me stay here at the moment." "Ah... hello?" said Alana uncertainly. "Hello beautiful, any friend of Sarah's is a friend of mine." smiled Jack standing and giving Alana's hand a swift kiss and a wink at Sarah who blushed for some reason before he left the friends alone to talk. "So Alana... you said something about an emergency?" asked Sarah clearly wanting to change the subject. "Oh my goodness yes!" said Alana her urgency returning to her, "The Earl is setting up a trap for Siana! She stole her Noah's powers to keep him from doing bad things while she is away and the Earl is going to use the Dark Matter inside it to attack her when she comes to rescue the Heart's baby!" "Oh my gosh! that's horrible!" exclaimed Sarah in distressed and then a second later, "Wait, Rachel has a baby?!" "I- what?" said Alana bewildered. "Rachel is the Heart, didn't you know? Yasmine has been talking about for weeks about how cute her babies are going to be with this Alan person but I thought she was joking!" said Sarah waving her hands about in distress, "Why didn't she tell us!?" "Oh my gosh! I think your right! the Earl said something about the Heart's child being the baby of one of Siana's friends! he must have been talking about Rachel!" gasped Alana. "What should we do?!" whispered Sarah. "Um..! Um...! Well... we still need to warn Siana and Rachel. Do you know where they are?" said Alana casting about for ideas, "Maybe they'll have some ideas too." "I knew where Siana was before with Tyki, but it sounds like she isn't with him anymore, so I have no idea. Rachel is un-trackable since she has the Heart, so i don't.... Oh!" said Sarah suddenly excited. "What?" asked Alana confused. "One second Alana," said Sarah hopping to her feet and running to the door, "Jack!" she called down the hall. "Yes my queen?" Jack called back. Alana saw Sarah's ears turn slightly red from her blush and stifled a chuckle. "One, I am not you queen," this part was said uncertainly and unconvincingly, "two, I need Cheshire." "Ah, yes. Quite right. You can't be "My Queen" till you marry me. So I guess it's still "My Princess" right, love?" "Jack!" "Yes, yes, the cat, I am on it." laughed Jack from down the hall. "Who's Cheshire?" asked Alana laughing as a red faced, flustered Sarah came back and sat down. "He's a cat... well sort of. He was an Akuma that Rachel came into contact with. When the heart comes in contact with Akuma the resume their previous human form. Except that Rachel is only half the Heart. So Cheshire kept his akuma powers of traveling dimensions and his ability to turn into a cat. He lives with us, but he's still devoted to Rachel." Explained Sarah. "Aw... that's so cute! Who has the other half of the heart?" asked Alana. "No idea." "All right... I finally caught the little rascal. Here you are my love." said Jack coming back in a depositing a little black cat with a bell on the floor and quickly shutting the door so it couldn't get back out. "Cheshire? We need your help." said Sarah leaning down to the cat's level. Cheshire turned up his nose in a very cat-like manner and began grooming himself, "Please Cheshire, we really need you take my friend Alana somewhere with your teleportation magic or one of our friends may end up really hurt!" Cheshire ignored them. "Please!" Said Alana, "Siana and Rachel are in danger!" The cat's ears twitched at the mention of "Rachel" "That's right cat," said Jack smoothly crouching down as well, "Your distressing damsel is in need of you." "Does Jack not like Rachel?" whispered Alana to Sarah who surprisingly giggled. "No; she just scares him. Last time Rachel threatened Jack with something horrible if he dared to lay a finger on me." giggled Sarah. "Ah." said Alana. The bell around Cheshire's neck glowed and and the cloth holding it unwound and curled around the small cat before billowing and settling back down to reveal a wild looking boy with red eyes. "You, neow" he pointed at Alana who was still in shock at his sudden transformation, "I take you to Miss. Rachel now." With that he grabbed Alana's arm and dragged her forward into swirling darkness before she had time to even bid Sarah farewell or add some of her own friendly threats for her Jack. *Jingle* Well, It'll just have to wait till next time. **** Alana hit the ground with a painful thud. She winced, feeling her ankle give way underneath her. Cheshire released her immediately and transformed back into a cat bounding forward. "Cheshire, wha- Alana! Are you alright?" asked Rachel hurrying forward quickly changing out of her angle form so Alana could see her. She knelt down beside her friend with a purring Cheshire in her arms. "I- I'll be okay. But that's not the point! Rachel I came here to warn you that the Earl has set up a trap so that when you and Siana go to rescue your baby-" "My what?!" exclaimed Rachel withdrawing slightly. "Your- your baby.... I was told that you had a baby with some Allan guy- and then the Earl said- and- and-! I am so confused." said Alana trying to explain. Rachel gave an exasperated sigh of annoyance. "Gosh darn it, this is all Yasmine's fault." said Rachel crossly, "She keeps going around talking about how this Allan person is my soul mate and what beautiful babies I am going to have with him! She is confusing everybody! I haven't even met the guy! And I am sure he's a very nice person, but REALLY... babies..." "But the Earl said he had the Heart's child... who was the baby of one of Siana's friends... and... and... so it's all a lie?" asked Alana. "Wait, what about the Earl?" asked Rachel her irritated expression dissolving into concern. Alana quickly explained. Rachel frowned, "Well, the baby is certainly not mine... but there is still the other half of the heart too..." "I hadn't thought of that..." said Alana rubbing her head. "Anyway, we need to find Siana quickly and try and figure out how to stop what ever it is that the Earl is going to try and do to Siana and whoever's the baby this is." agreed Rachel. She paused thoughtfully and then got up still holding Cheshire. "... Come on. I have an idea." Curious, Alana got up wincing at her tender ankle and fallowed Rachel a little ways into the woods where hung two people upside down tied up in Rachel's innocence. Alana blinked. One was, naturally, Rachel's Noah Wisely, who appeared to have gotten board and was sleeping inside his cocoon in a highly undignified manner. The other was a highly irritated Samurai who's long blue hair was swirling in the wind. The warrior was cursing profusely as he struggled uselessly in his bonds, irritation etched into his handsome Japanese features. "Wha-?" Alana began to ask. "They were fighting when I told them not to, so I put them in time-out." said Rachel shrugging, "I am going ton see if Wisely can give me any information, you ask the Samurai if he knows who the other half of the heart is: he's part of the Black Order." "Okay." Said Alana nodding and walking over to where the blue haired man hung. As she approached he immediately turned his steal gaze upon her and Alana felt tingles go up her spine. "What the @#$% is the meaning of this? If your going to try and ask me where the もや- is I don't know either I am trying to track him down too! @#$%^ fool letting his Noah take over to go team up with some @#$%ing chibi girl and try and save @#$ knows who's brat!" snarled the man. "OhMyGosh! you've seen Siana! where did they go?! Rachel! He's seen Siana!" Alana called excitedly. "The Chibi?" asked the man. "Try calling her that to her face; she'll smash you." grinned Alana. "Che, why are you looking for her?" asked the man. "I have to warn her, the Earl has set up a trap and is waiting for them!" said Alana. "@#$%^&*@#$%^&*(..." he let out and long stream of cuss words. "You need to watch your mouth." Alana informed him. "Che, I am the only one who can catch them right now so don't tell me what to do." glared the man. "Don't you tell me what to do, you are tied up man." reprimand Alana. "Then what now?" snarled the Samurai. Alana held up her finger to wait as she thought. It was risky... but... it really was the only good option at the moment. "Okay, so I get my friend to let you down if," she held up a hand as he opened his mouth to speak, "You let me come with you to warn our friends." "...もや- isn't my friend..." he muttered, but Alana grinned detecting denial, "Fine, you better not slow me down or I'll leave you behind." "Of course." said Alana pushing her worry about her hurt ankle away, she called over her shoulder, "Rachel let him down, he's agreed to lead me to Siana." "M'kay! Stay safe! I'll catch up as soon as I can!" called Rachel, "Give him the "Rachel lecture" for me!" "Haha, alright." grinned Alana as the Samurai was released. Surprisingly he didn't collapse undignified on the ground like she would have expected, but rather flipped and landed gracefully on his feet. Stupid Samurai's and their good reflexes, "Rachel wants me to tell you that is you even think about laying a finger on me, she personally see to it that you are dismembered... among other things." "Che, as if I would." said the man turning away from her with a pink tinge on his cheeks and setting off at a brisk walk with a mutter of, "不器"な美-さ" **** Alana hurried after him. They kept up a brisk pace and Alana quickly became lost. They stayed in near silence, though they had been traveling for hours. Her ankle hurt terribly. But she tried not to show it. His threat to leave her if she slowed him down still rang in her ears. If he left her now not only would she probably not find Siana in time, but she probably wouldn't be able to find Rachel again. So she pushed on. Eventually the strangle man stopped and sighed. He turned around sharply with a swish of his long ponytail and glared at her. "What?" she defensively. "... ばか..." he muttered and quickly grabbed her by her shoulders and pushed against and tree and then to the ground. "Wha-! Hey! What are you doing?!" squeaked Alana alarmed by how close his face was. "Calm down. If you keep on walking on that ankle like that then you'll slow us down even further." growled the man feirsley roughly grabbing her injured led and pulling off her boots. "Oh..." said Alana blushing slightly. He glanced at her, his eyes lingering on the blush a slight one appearing on his cheeks before he busied him self with her foot, hiding his face. "不器"な美-さ..." he muttered. Though everything about him seemed rough hits touch as he carefully rapped her foot was oddly gentle. "My name is Alana, you know. Not Buki-whatever." Alana informed him trying to distract herself from the slight fluttering in her chest. "I really don't care what your name is.... 不器"な美-さ." he informed her still not looking at her. Alana really wanted to know what that meant. "Well, you should since we're traveling together. In fact, you should tell me your name too." she pouted. "...no..." "Well then, I guess I shall just have to come up with an extremely embarrassing nickname for you that I shall call you forever more!" rejoiced Alana. "@#$% no!" "Then tell me!" "..." he looked at her dead on and Alana had to quell the urge to shirk under the intensity of his gaze. He leaned in close to her ear and said quietly. "か"だーゆう...." "...That sounds Japanese... so then Yuu is your first name?" asked Alana struggling to remain unaffected. "Call me by my first name in public and I will kill you." "So then I can call you by your first name when we're in privet?" asked Alana with a grin. "Che. 不器"な美-さ." *Back to Present* Alana stumbled as she ran. She meant to simply fish for information and see if she could find out Rachel's situation, but the security had been too thick. Well, she'd found out Rachel's situation, actually. The Earl was making preparations to remove the Heart. Apparently, if he removed it during the upcoming eclipse in two weeks he could bypass the problem that he'd had with Yasmine and simply remove the Heart, killing Rachel in the process. Alana had been so freaked out and absorbed that she had missed the Noah sneaking up behind her. Well, that is until he cut a gaping hole in her side. She got away, but she was losing too much blood. Already, her world was starting tip slightly... Alana heard rather than felt when she hit the water with a splash. With alarm she realized that her body was slowly becoming numb and she could barely feel the iciness of the water. Some one was yelling her name and she heard someone come splashing through the water towards her. She tried to raise her arms at least to try and protect her self at least but she couldn't seem to. "Alana!" strong arms turned her over so she was out of the water she had been slowly drowning in. Hazily she recognized the blurry face above her. "...Yuu?" she asked sleepily. "@#$%... your so cold..." he muttered shrugging off his jacket to wrap around her. Alana realized sort of detachedly that she was... in fact, she was shivering so hard it almost hurt. "不器"な美-さ I thought I told you to stay home! how did this happen?!" demanded Kanda, though his voice was strained with worry. Alana wanted to comfort him, she wanted to explain, but her tongue felt heavy and darkness was creeping into the corners of her vision. "Alana, look at me. You can't go to sleep right now. Don't you dare even think about it." cursed Kanda working over her wound, he pressed a kiss in to her temple, his anxiety almost tangible, "Lavi, get the @#$% over here! She needs help now!" She was very lucky, she mused as Kanda lifted her up and held her close as Lavi shot them out of danger on his hammer, to have met Kanda Yuu. © 2012 TheEverHungryOneAuthor's Note
