Optimism

When I was little and something tragic happened, and things looked grim. But then I changed my way of looking at life. And ever since I have felt that life has been much happier, thanks to optimism.

When things go bad and life is sad

I don't listen to a sappy song

I put a tunnel vision on

And suddenly my worries are gone

Optimism is my tunnel vision 

To use it is my decision

Anything depressing is out of sight

All I can see is happy and bright

For an optimist, life is great

For a pessimist, life is nothing but hate

An optimist has a glass half full

An Optimist has a glass half empty

So why would something ever tempt me

To choose to other path?

Optimism: it can be an escape path

to depression's unforgiving wrath

it opens up a new way

To how we see the average day

So when you are feeling down

and your face can only frown

Instead of remaining in the sadness

Change your point of view

To remove the depressing out of sight

To see nothing but light and bright

That Is Optimism
