Wait and SeeA Poem by TheDuraMatercan you guess?
I saw the sunrise to Pink Floyd
And I caught my breath on the last straw So you weren't here and that is all I have time to think about And if you think that is strong You've got a lot of thinking to do Know I bury headway everyday for this I can't lie I know she's a curse, she's ignorant bliss But she can't see the waves she's spitting down I can't find any land and I could never shape her frown And I'm crashing now Nothing to play, I just f*****g miss you right now The way you moved and made everything soft so loud Nothing will ever capture my smile quite the same Never again will I put such depth into a name And I've exchanged heartbreak for regrets and pain In our minds where I know I'll never penetrate If I could start again I'd distant myself from the start The wounds would be longer but maybe not as sharp And if you think that is strong You've got a lot of thinking to do Know I bury headway everyday for this I can't lie I know she's a curse, she's ignorant bliss But she can't see the waves she's spitting down I can't find any land and I could never shape her frown And I'm crashing now To the end, to the edge, to the brink of all my lines When both our battered souls stitch up through time © 2012 TheDuraMater |
