Ready for Your EmbraceA Poem by The Dudeman (Kenneth T)
I had just about given up;
The events of August Tried to convey that love wasn't for me I would have to secure happiness elsewhere. You liked me once Months before I never knew it then. Now you tell me That you want me once again. My heart fills with worry Because I feel nothing special for you We are not equal. After that thought Is when my personal history speaks. I remember: I was once you. I loved someone once; For three and a half years I chased after her With all hope steadily slipping away. Even when it was gone completely I didn't give up; I still tried For no other reason Than my heart told me to. Realizing this How could I continue resisting? I open my arms Ready for your embrace. Let's give this love a try
