A song I wrote in about half an hour. Inspired by "So Cold" by the band Breaking Benjamin.
The world is lost Yet here we stand Left here to die and fade away Searching through ruins Lives buried in sand But we won't join them today!
Fighting all for nothing I promise we'll get through You have nothing left But at least I still have you Ashes falling down Nothing left to gain Why won't you believe The Sun will shine again?
Your strength is lost Yet I still stand I will not let you fade away All alone In a wasted land I lie and say I'm okay
Fighting all for nothing I promise we'll get through You have nothing left But at least I still have you Tears are falling down Leaving only pain I must make you believe The Sun will shine again
But I'll find hope in the hopeless I'll show you what it's like To feel the touch of love And fix our shattered life
Now we fight for something Certain we'll get through I know you're right beside me Where I can never lose you The Sun is shining high And now we learned what's true Lets leave this world behind And start our life anew!
Because I love Breaking Benjamin so much, I thought I'd try to write a song similar to theirs. The lyrics are much like "So Cold": trying to survive and keep hope in an apocalyptic world, but the music sounds more like "Unknown Soldier". For those who know the band, how good of a job did I do?

Wow that was exactly what I was thinking even before I saw your note.
I can hear the words now being sung by Benjamin's deep angelic voice.
I am also inspired by Breaking Benjamin when I write.
Wonderful Job!
I must listen to this band. Their songs sound entertaining. In this life nothing is easy. Need to fight to hold on to any good in this life. I like the ending. Better to be with another. Always strength in numbers. A excellent poem. Thank you.
