FriendsA Poem by Diamond DunbarOld poem that still resonates with me.
I was there for you in your times of need.
Hell, I was there even when you didn't need anything. Somehow my efforts went to vain. Somehow my presence caused you pain. I heard every rumor. I listened to every lie. The friends I thought I had were just to pass time. Although I couldn’t understand that they didn't try. Everyone has a visual for their life and they're willing to do what they feel is right. So I don't apologize for letting go, I apologize for staying to long. © 2021 Diamond Dunbar |
