My Toxic Love

My Toxic Love

A Poem by Diamond Dunbar
"

The mental battle I faced during a toxic love situation. Short but filled with emotion.

"
It’s my intuition…
But I ain’t into wishing…
Yet, I wished you listened…

You always miss the lesson.
Professing weak confessions.
You’d think I’ll learn my lesson!

Got my mind guessing…
What’s the truth and what’s worth forgiving?
Constantly missing my blessings.

Love is patient.
Love is kind.
Well this love here, has me losing my mind!

Author's Note

Diamond Dunbar
Love can teach you so much. Your love and someone else’s but your love sets the precedent so I learned that I had to love myself more so I can stop being so accepting to things I don’t want or deserve. BOUNDARIES MATTER!
