Beauty is a Beast

Beauty is a Beast

A Poem by Diamond Dunbar
"

The strength of a black woman when the world is against her. She’s made out to be a beast but yet her beauty is so intriguing.

"
Some days I'm up, some days I'm down.
Both days I chose to stick around.
The battle I fight is bigger than me.
I use to ask why me?
Now I ask why not me?
From tragedy to triumph.
This beauty is a beast!

A truthful poem of empowerment against the hateful forces that would rather tear down then recognize the strength and beauty before them. Thank you Diamond for sharing your art with us.
