Me vs Me

The battle of letting of letting go of who you were and accepting who you are. The victory is forgiveness for you did not know any better but now you do.

I don't feel like myself but I don't feel like no one else.
I guess I just haven't gotten use to me.
I'm use to who I use to be.
Who knew there'd come a day where I would be running from and not into me.
It's funny how your own potential can be such a scary thing.

I really enjoyed reading your poem it says so much about growing and learning from past mistakes and decisions. Evolving to a better you. Letting go of the things that had defined you up to that point and kept you from reaching your potential. It can be a scary proposition but change isn't always meant to be easy.
