I’ve been holding back!

I’ve been holding back!

A Poem by Diamond Dunbar

I’ve been holding back.
I’ve been so confused.
Some days I have it figured out,
Some days I’m a fool.
My tolerance has ran low and I just can’t move like I use to.
My patience so thin, that I barely move.
Bare minimum seems to be the best I can do.
I’ve been holding back.
Because I’ve been lost in my truth.
I’ve been breaking barriers like I’m supposed to.
Yet what are you supposed to do when the barriers saved you?
From betrayal, lust hidden as love and straight up confusion.
I’ve been holding back but now I’m giving up.
And it’s sad but it’s true.

I love this poem.
I love how you talk about being lost in your truth.
Sometimes I also feel lost in my own truth too.
Keep writing, you are great at it.
