Will you?

Will you?

A Poem by Diamond Dunbar

I could love you but will you love me?
I haven't mastered the art of loving two people equally.
So if I love you I'll be giving you more of me and myself, well less.
How do I know you won't walk away from me?
I could invest more than money in you.
How do I know you won't reject my payments of love because it just ain't enough?
It's like I'm trying to keep this f**k that I'm giving but I'm giving up.
If this ain't that then why it feel so familiar.
I wish your soul would stop calling cause your heart on a different accord and I can't help you if you don't accept yourself.
You said you'd meet me halfway just to find out you haven't even left the house yet.
Now I'm standing in the middle of no where with my heart in my hand, screaming your name.
Just to fall and have the demons you left comfort me.
I'm a hellish lady, you shouldn't play with me.
I can befriend your demons and make em mine.
I could take your pain and mine and still find a reason plus the strength to love you.
Now you on the other hand, I must ask will you love me when my darkness shines brighter than the sun at 5am on summer day?
