Down

Down

A Poem by Diamond Dunbar

Every time they come, you run to their rescue.

You always feel bad for how someone else did you.

I don't know if love is this strong or am I really a fool......of decades.

I love everyone and protect those closet to me.

I extend my stressed arm and over talked ears in their time of need.

Then I realized NO one does this for me.

They expect me to hold myself together for them and myself, and I can't lie I've stated the same.

For the pain I hoarded is mine, and have breeded a beast out of tears that drained my aching soul.

I am down again.
