Disturb my Demons

Disturb my Demons

A Poem by Diamond Dunbar

Hey, back off!
Don't you f**k with me.

See you don't even know what's going on, ya see.

At night my demons they like to visit me.

Hence, why I'm always up.

You damn right, they won't let me sleep.

And damn it some days they won't let me eat.

They won't let me speak.

I can't be who I am, they don't approve of me.

In the daytime, it's a safe haven for me.

Although they torture me with promises of seeing me tonight.

God damn is there one day I won't have to fight.

Its like a game of no fun, but you must play along.

Or they'll toss you the tools and tell you if you can't make it tonight then today you must lose.

You gotta fight for the strength, you're losing while fighting.

And its never the same, and they all have names.

As soon as dark hit, out the shawdows they appear.

Tapping me out my sleep, young prophet we are here.

Wake from your slumber and play again!

Well what should I say? I am not really sure. Part of the reason would be because i was thinking of the devils that haunt me from time to time. A well written piece. Clearly the emotions can be seen and your struggles in the everyday are not going in vain ^^
