The Dream

The Dream

A Poem by thedarkrocket

Slumber has waited in the shadows, lingering with patience and ease
A silent stalker with criminal intent, a wolf in the company of sheep
My mind has slowly fallen victim to the dream, nowhere to run or escape
For the dream holds a desire too strong to resist, a hostile agent of fate

The dream has placed me in your favor, you're not so distant as before
Your shields are down, your emotions exposed, and your heart is mine to explore
