The End of Time

I've begun to wonder... Mixing it all up... The explained 'end times' in many religions... There have been many 'prophets' out there who claim to have seen the events that will make up our demise. Based on their religious convictions, cultures, and life experiences they have taken these visual and sensational impressions and tried to superimpose an intent of higher being(s).. Biblically, it's primarily mankind being punished for it's transgressions, making room for the new heavens to descend. Our culture has a tendency to vilify individuals who appear to be accelerating the process towards this inevitable end.. I can't help but wonder...

Is the end really a punishment, or a graduation? Do those individuals that appear to accelerate us towards this end serve the force of evil, or good? I believe if it's true, and plays out as taught, it's to be embraced as a part of our evolution, not the destruction for our short-comings.. Does that mean I should feel empowered to be first in line for the mark of the beast? hah... One step at a time...

Either side you take, those on the apposing side are like lambs to the slaughter... So until realized, neither can be right, and neither can be wrong... It's all speculation, but I will say that my heart embraces evolution over damnation... Maybe it's the hippie in me... Maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see.
