Heroes and Villians

Heroes and Villians

A by The Dark Lord

What is a hero?  A hero is defined as "a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities."  Does this differ from our general thoughts at all?  Think about it though. How many people do we look up to, our 'hero' who show brave deeds or courage?  Too many.  How many people do we look up to who show hardly any of these good characteristics?  Too many!  Why is it that young people struggle and pain themselves lookin up to those who do not show good qualities?  I don't understand why kids talk to each other about "Oh, he's a jerk.  He's a d********g.  I hate that kid. . ." Then they kill themselves trying to be in their good graces?  What's so acceptable about that?  A hero is someone who is admired because they show distinguished, NOBLE qualities.  NOBLE.  Be a good person.  Be one who is noble, who does right.

Who is the villian?  "A cruelly malicious person who is involved in or devoted to wickedness or crime; scoundrel."  Does this sound familiar?  Sure, how many people do you know who enjoy literally killing people or things like that?  Not many, if any.  But, how many people do you know who make trouble, just for the sake of making trouble?  How many people do you know who take advantage of other people, just to make themselves look or feel better?  And yet, arent these the kind of people everyone struggles to become.  It makes no sense.  when did it become "cool" to be a prick?

I say be who you are.  Be a good person.  The more I see this pattern being repeated the more it bothers me.  I also understand that pointing this out is prolly gonna put me under some fire.  I really don't care.  I have done dumb, bad, and mean things in the past. Yet, I have always tried to be a good person.  If I've wronged you somehow, take it up with me.  Don't be a prick about it and get everyone involved in our business.
-"I'm not a hero but don't think I didnt care. . ."

Honest and straightforward. Essentially, we all have to make choices when we decide to take on the role of hero, villain or victim.
