Bloody Tears

Bloody Tears

A Poem by TheGirlThatNeverWas
"

One of my sad life poems after one of my depressions. About a girl who was confused and scared.

"

As I hold the knife in my hand I draw
The art that painfully moves up and down
As I slide it down I grit my jaw
As I watch the blood pour as my skin starts to drown
Needing those Bloody Tears

It painfully up and down, being careful not too deep
For I could go deeper but it means the end
But as I watch the blood pour and seep
I ascend,I feel the pain and start to take hold again , now descend
Wanting those Bloody Tears

Almost no more room for more to do
I look at my mistake I must will forever bare
The blood I still want to pour but only just a few
I crave for more while I hold then I begin to pare
For those Bloody Tears

I sit on my bed, which is now blood red
I have fed my pain and arm the cost
I now lay feeling horrible and dead
Now I have no reason to go for now..I have lost.
For my shedding of Bloody Tears.

Hum if you are the kind that picture stuff when you read or think about it...I advise you not to read this. If you already have then fine with me.

I like how you used a metaphor for the cutting as an art, as if her arm was the canvas and the knife her paintbrush. I also loved how you compared the blood to shedding tears.
