Sound, the
sound of thumping. Steal, cold and chilled most likely frozen, eyes opened
slowly, ever so carefully, fluttering, head lulled to the side, a queen in
confinement.
Undignified, stripped of her pride, now clad in filthy cloth that use to be
white. Voices she heard them, muffled but strong, masculine she could easily
tell, her head was fogged up, her eyes a cloudy ember.
Looking up, she finches and cringes, her eyes dilating from the pain that
racked her beat and bloody body, her fingers where frozen, her toes numb and
her voice cold, her tongue swiped over the insides of her mouth, frightened,
she was stunned her teeth had been filed flat, it was unusual for her to have
that happen, but she knew it was not to last long her body enchanted and
strong, they'd sharpen over a short time.
Looking around eyes opening wider, slowly gaining their glow, they burned like
fire, her rose lips pursed, then pulled into a deep scowl, eyebrows knitted
together. It wasn't right, a wooden confinement that moved, why not steel, did
they not know who they held in their clutches, a queen of ice, a woman of
vampires a demon who was thirsty for blood. Her body killed, Adrian had never
felt such pain before, but her wounds had long since healed and the blood no
longer flowed. Adrian growled with a fierce sound but remained bowed to her
knees, shed have her vengeance she knew she would, she always did have her
vengeance and nothing could stop her.
The odd cart slowed, and rocked from side to side, as if on uneven ground, it
shook her body to and fro, not something she was to pleased with what was
happening. Little did the queen know, she was about to meet a fate she never
would accept, a fate that would humble her to the feet of a creature weaker
then her. Adrian would have to become smarter, faster and meaner if she ever
wanted to survive the life ahead of her.
The strange cart rocked for what seemed to be hours, Adrian could see nothing
in the blackness, so long as her eyes where closed, when they opened the red
sent a glow around the straw filled confinement, there where a few others in
the same wooden prison, a small girl probably no older then seven, a woman with
a baby, the woman had grey hair and the baby was a light blue as if it were
dyeing. Adrian could see a sleeping form of a larger male, they weren't
shackled which amused the vampire, she twisted her wrists a little making the
chains clink, the man sat up instantly and made a grab for his waist, whatever
he was going for it wasn't there, the woman hunched over her baby and turned a
bit protectively shaking, the girl pressed her back hard to the wood terror
coloring her blind pale eyes.
Adrian chuckled darkly, low under her breath she parted her lips and they
cracked spilling just a bit of black blue blood as she smiled menacingly.
Making the others whimper, but the man moved, putting himself between the
mother baby and child and her, that highly amused Adrian who's eyes sparked and
blazed in delight.
" You are strong willed boy.. Come unchain me, "
Adrian knew very well if she wished to be free she could snap such weak rusted
links without so much as a thought, she just wondered was the boy as smart as
he was strong.
The boy narrowed his deep green eyes and scowled dangerously, his eyes glinting
with hate, hate that matched the cold hearted princess, and he didn't move an
inch. Clever he was, she smiled a twisted grin, and tilted her head with a
lopsided dark smirk, her hair falling across her face with a dark shadow.
Adrian didn't give the tug so much of a thought, the chains snapped with a loud
creek, the child whimpered in fear and the mother shook uncontrollably. The boy
tensed, fear flickered across his face but he held his ground, even on his
knees.
Adrian easily tore the cuffs from her slightly chaffed skin, as if they where
nothing more then a piece of wet paper in her hands, her eyes drifted down her
appearance, her body had a few bruises and she seemed to have accumulated quiet
a number of scars along her arms, an eyebrow raised at this, it wasn't often to
earn so many scars from such a short battle. Shaking her messy hair she combed
her long slender fingers throb the frost bite colored strands of filth she
called hair.
Disgusted she huffed and swept her hands down the ruined cloth that made a sad
point to be a dress, how annoying she hissed through her thoughts. Hearing a
whimper drew her from herself, her eyes leisurely made there way back to the
small family, well she assumed they were family with the way they guarded each
other.
" Oh calm yourself and you worthless nerves, I have no intention of
slaying you at the moment, "
The ice cold girl hissed with an aggravated tone, royal and regal she
practically bled authority and dominance from her pours itself. Taking in a
deep breath she felt the cart lurch to a stop making her hiss in anger, how she
hated confined spaces, how she hated begin treated like an animal, the thought
made her eyes dilate, and her eyes flame freighter as she began to feel her
anger bubble up in her stomach, her rage showed on her face.
Just then as she was about to tear the confinement apart the front hatch like
door feel open, blinding sunlight poured into the crate of sorts, the light
burned Adrian's eyes and made them water, with a hiss she raised her pale arms
and held them before her face to shield her sensitive eyes so they may have a
chance to try and adjust.
Watching blindly as the family was ripped from the cart the site made her sick,
but it made her want to laugh at the same time, had time in this box made her
soft, no, she was never soft. Something hard clamped it's hands around her arms
and wrestled the giant female from the cart and to the ground, kicking and
hissing Adrian really was something else. Bringing her knee up she caught a man
in the gut, twisting she managed to be free, crouched down like an animal she
hissed as she slowly backed away from them as she slowly rose to her feet,
standing she intimidated many of the strange fighters.
" Who are you, " she growled dangerously to the men that stood to
close make them surround but not stand to close to the dangerous female who
stood at least an inch taller then most of the males.
No one answered, this enraged the already upset woman.
" Speak!" she roared loudly.
" Sit down! Now!"
A mans voice, a deep accent followed by a crack, the sound of a whip slicing
air, and the sting of ripping flesh sent Adrian stepping forward to keep from
dropping to her knee, turning slowly she trained her anger on the man who stood
taller then she, taller by several inches, a man with deep green eyes and hair
as black as night, skin that appeared sun kissed and pale lips curled in a
sneer.
Adrian's breath caught in her throat, her voice caught in her chest, her heart
fluttered lightly as her stomach churned. Who was he...
