Some Kind of Creature

Some Kind of Creature

A Poem by TheCreatore

Blood bone and sinew

Enfoldment to create consciousness; equals

Construction and destruction

Beauty, ignorance and lessons learned

Pain in every fiber, within the smiles

All living organisms suffer

Some, more exquisitely than others

Compassion is often the cure:

Expending heart and wits

To outsmart the game of life

Use your story for good, expansion

Leaving out victimhood when you can,

Not to get greedy for something you don’t have--

You are everything you have ever wanted

Realizing this in the entirety of yourself

That it’s all here for you, and that this is all there is

All there ever was…

You’re a god

You’re a mite at the same time

Entropy and growth simultaneously

What in the world is life’s purpose?

If not to exist in this body,

And breathe the air you literally never stop to think about,

Change the world

Or at least the life of one other person

Cry laugh and love

Be human?

At this time of night, I feel like this is all very fine, for haven't we by this time put in a good day's work? I hope so. Until tomorrow when everything goes wrong and right. Another day of laziness or a more thrifty behavior? Unfortunately I fear I do not work hard enough...! One can only wait and see and try then
