Question of the Day

Question of the Day

A Story by TheCreatore

Question of the day:  What is the difference between living and being alive?

The difference between living and being alive;

There is a difference between living and being alive because one feels like something. There’s meaning in it, its nature contains an image of chaos and beauty at the exact same time.

To live is to exist--to never really change your point of view on anything. To never have allowed your mind to be blown to infinite proportions, only to gather itself back up and realize that there’s been a million different ways to see things all along, and no one of them has ever been particularly “right”.

To be alive, on the other hand, means being open to what the Universe is telling you… it means being vulnerable to the changes in life you never wanted, nor expected. Being alive means using Grace to walk through the complexity of life; and understanding that although the tide gets rough, the ocean’s a lot more kind than we like to think.

Being alive to me means breathing with mindfulness instead of worry, it means challenging yourself on a regular basis to be a stronger, wiser person instead of just sitting on the couch. It means helping the world in seemingly insignificant ways, when in truth the smallest kindnesses speak of the largest hearts…

It means embodying Love in the fullest sense, and never, ever holding back.
