Peace.

Peace.

A Poem by The Cougar's Den
"

C'mon, whaddya say?

"
Outrageous, contagious,
detection, infection
All I have to do is...
thank God for...his resurrection?
Disbelieving, unreceiving
dedicated, medicated.
Every day I look around at things
that have become...less hated?
Once upon a time, ain't no nursery rhyme
but a mindset we should all hold dear.
This is our planet, Earth
for all that it's worth.
One life is what we get
So make peace, lest we forget...
that the holocaust, and all the wars
that the slavery, behind all the bars
will all be freshly painted over
and yet live on,
in our hearts
in memories of scars,
and wounds
healed,
but still visible
to the naked eye.
So what today,
am I trying to say?
Love one another.
Give peace a chance.

Beautifully written with a great message. Loved the flow, rhythm and rhyme. Finding what is important in life can sometimes be a struggle for so many. It is the divine simple things in life that are worth holding or viewing. A profound finding to SEE that peace is something that comes first from within and then spreads to others.. love comes from inside as well.. and peace will be found with love! You don't have to have a spiritual belief to find that peace.. love this writing as it can apply to all walks! Also a reminder that history shows us if we look back much worse circumstances and times..we should feel lucky and free. Thank you so much for sharing.. inspirational write! =)
