Prologue~ Assignment

I stand still, my hands clasped behind my back. I look up at my father and quirked an eyebrow. “Yes, Father?” I ask.

“I have an assignment for you, my son.” Father says, rising from his throne. My chest tightened and I felt my pulse quicken a bit.

Assignments were special things and few were sent on them. “What kind of assignment, Father?”

“I want you to gather any information you can about the developing events on Earth. They are coming very close to discovering us, my son.” Father replies and puts a hand on my shoulder. I look at him and nod.

“Yes, Father. I will not fail you.” I say and turn to leave.

“And, Loki?”

I turn back to face my father. “Yes?”

“You will not interfere. Am I clear?” His voice is stern.

“Yes, Father. I understand.” I say and he almost smiles.

Author's Note

So. I went to go see the Avengers. And it was amazing. AMAZING. But we all know I love to base characters off other characters, so I just HAD to base a character of Loki, played by the amazingly attractive Tom HIddleston.
