No One Would LIstenA Poem by TheConjuringCatShe's just a child; She shouldn't know About the secrets HIdden beneath the Parisian snow. She shouldn't know About the secret Opera vaults But she does, Erik, And it's all your fault. She thought you were an angel Sent by her long-dead father, But you knew the truth And to tell her, you don't even bother. You loved her, Until poor Raoul came along And threatened to snuff out The Angel of Music's song. Sht thought she loved you, But then she saw your horrid face, She fled, left you wallowing in your disgrace. But you couldn't let it go, You couldn't let her leave, She thought you were her angel. You just let her go on and believe. She was yours and yours alone, Even though her love Only to poor Roaul was shown. So once again you're all alone, From your high and Mighty perch thrown Use a mask to Hide the fact you're deformed. Hide yourself From the mocking scorn. From behind the mask slips a tear You know she's gone for good, Your greatest fear. The Phantom of the Opera Is dead at last, Now only a part Of Erik's dark past. The Phantom of the Opera Takes his final breath Ae he stairs down the barrel of Raoul's gun And dies a lonely heartache's death. © 2011 TheConjuringCatAuthor's Note
