Memoirs of a broken heart

A phrase came to mind, having heard it many times...it was romantic and so I felt inspired. I felt inspired by my own rough patch and I wanted to leave something lasting.

Loved you then, love you still... always have, always will
Hearts were one, now they're two, separated I lost you
Thinking fast, barely there, wondering if you still care
Lips to touch, hands to hold, memories forever told
Far away, once so close, heart of thine I miss the most
Keeping strong, staying true, to myself, that I must do
Steady hope, faithful til, we meet again...it was a thrill
loved you then, love you still, always have, always will.

I didn't come up with the phrase, I'm sure you've heard it before. I did finish off the rest of the words, and it's not my best :p
