Off The Beaten Path?

Should you take the figurative "Path Less Beaten"? Should you take it? Should you?

I'm all for individuality and doing what you want, I love that stuff, that's what I do.
But here's a scary thought I had:
When people say "Walk the path that's less beaten", it means 'Do your own thing, make your own way" but maybe there's a reason no one strays off a path.
Maybe there's wolves that keep eating peoples babies.
Maybe there's some vagrant that waits for people to hike away from the path so he can get some fingernails to peel off and eat.
Maybe off that path has some forgotten mines tucked in the dirt left from one of the wars.
Just a thought. Don't conform, but don't get eaten by wolves, vagrants or blown up, okay?
