Please ReturnA Poem by TheBubbleManiacWill he ever come back?
It was only a glimpse
A small piece of memory Something swept away so quickly Never to be seen again The engine roared My eyes focused on the window My hands hugging the bag tightly My stuffed animals resting in my lap Silently I said goodbye To something I loved so much It sat there watching me leave But he was not watching That man did not see me off Nor did he even say goodbye I only had a few years worth of memories Now they are gone Trinkets now whisked away No pictures to remember old friends Toys left laying on the floor My childhood left to rot with him Memories with him will be forgotten Never shall he see me Never will he hug me or kiss me I won't ever get to hear his voice again Never again shall I be the same For he is gone Ripped away from my life Letting himself be pulled away Now I sit here waiting Now and forever Awaiting for the return Of my long lost father...
