Things can never last long...

Always together

Our steps in sync

Hands intertwined as we walk

Smiles that were so radiant

Promises made with fake hopes

Telling each other false things

Saying we would always be together

But that was a lie

One that I had committed

Your smile was the last thing I saw

You didn't tell me of your sick heart

Pain consumed my heart

Emotions of unknown

My mind made you up

Truly you are not gone

Yes, you weren't sick

I shall go to our home

Surely I will see your lovely face

We shared so many dreams

I knew you would accomplish

That is why you are not gone

The engraved stone said differently

Falling to my knees I realize

It was such a long time ago

An empty memory

Something to be forgotten

Very good poem with a lot of emotion into it. You could really benefit from spacing this out though. Right now it is just one big clump and it is pretty hard on the eyes when one attempts to read it.
