Closing In

Closing In

A Poem by TheBubbleManiac
"

It goes by so fast...

"
My jar of wishes will be empty
One of them will hopefully be granted
The end is coming close
How did it fly by so fast?
I'm growing older with every step
Taller I shall be
Following my path to be someone
New people come
Old people go
My heart throbs as I keep on
But I must
I want to accomplish things
Be someone new
I may lose things
But I shall gain
My steps are small and fragile
But they shall be bigger and stronger
Light shines as the month ends
Fireworks spark the sky
They create a new hope
Jar of wishes please take flight
Go and grant just one wish
Even though it may not be enough
Please go
Let someone hear my words
For again time shall fly
A new jar shall be filled
My wishes will change
There will be a new me

A piece filled with positivity, reflection and affirmations. This is poetry Prozac (other anti-depressants are available)...
I love that the energy of the jar may relocate (to other jars) but never dwindles.
Nice writing BM.
