Falling Apples

Falling Apples

A Poem by TheBubbleManiac
"

We don't see the little things that happen...

"
An apple falls from the tree
But we do not care
For it is an apple
Nothing more nothing less
"For there are more"
We say
But is there really?
What happens if there are no more?
Minds like ours do not think
Our feet carry us on
To ignore nature's call for help
A bird's cry echoes
But we do not hear
Then many birds fall down
So now we fear
They fall like apples
So now we care
For it is a bird
Alive and breathing
"Now there are no more"
We say
What is going on here?
Why are these animals falling?
Our minds now think
For our feet are frozen
Now nature's plea for help has reached
But we cannot help
