The Lesser EvilA Poem by J. E. Letan
There's a Lesser Evil inside of you and me
And a Greater Evil that's apparent to see But perspective skews what we perceive In our hearts our thoughts and in our dreams Choose the Lesser Evil, we are wont to think Rather be a lawyer than lost in the drink. It comes down to a choice Between bad and worse But what's really the hardest is deciding whats first No one can give a perfect say In the Lesser Evil of a fucked up day. So I wont bother In dealing with such The Lesser Evil is not in my thoughts I do as I please Think as I may And if I be Evil to Hell with my ways Some days in life decisions must be made Your Lesser Evil is not so vague You take a deep breath Solidify your choice Your heart feels guilty Your head with remorse © 2012 J.
