Falling.A Poem by Frederick A.
Falling in between the cracks of life,
I slip in between time and memories fade to black, So I lay inside myself dreaming, I wait for the world to bloom into color, I grasp futilely at consciousness as I slowly slip out of this world, I fade into the back of my mind living in an imaginary world, Walls paper thin hold me inside myself, Hiding away I built my own world to escape reality, Contained inside are all the things my lips cannot let escape me in the form of words, So I dream Inside myself waiting to be free waiting to escape the bonds of this world, Fingertips of air brush away the tears that fall and cascade the ground like many thousands of heartfelt words, I wait as I'm falling away from you and this world, I wait for someone to come and break through these walls and take me away, I wait for the world to bloom spectacularly into color, I am falling wondering who will, if any can, save me, The only thing that slips my lips is the slight sound of my voice crying out for someone who is unknown to me, So I fall into the shadows of my mind and the endless voids of time, Lost to and in the darkness gently I am cradled as I fall, I am passed by nothing but memories distant, faded, and long forgotten.
