Somebody's girlfriend

Somebody's girlfriend

A Poem by Rubein Geterminah
"

'She stood with somewhat embarrassed frown in the parking station..', shows the girl's in ability to afford the fare.

"
She was young and affectionate
Any sight of her instantly imagined her in bed
Her glittering passionate
Body next to him, not caring about what led
Her there. Actually she was a wanton food
Or an ideal recipe for one man's good
But she stood
With somewhat embarrassed frown
In the parking station like a lost fawn
Unable to talk to the driver that she
Didn't had the exact fare, may be he
Could take her a harlot
Or not ready to be her pilot
No opposite gender wanted to identify with her, his good
Gesture could be a proof
That he wanted her beneath his roof
Though it was an undisputable fact
None care to make an impact
In rescuing her, not even her gender
It was something funny
Though one couldn't predict if she was cunning
But a boy by the name Lander
Only sixteen, gave a Samaritan hand
Which we thot was not on a fertile land.

Author's Note

Rubein Geterminah
The inconsiderate taxi drivers in Red-light care not about how embarrassed passengers become at times because of high fares.
The unwillingness of the male passengers to assist is based on their mentalities.

The poem is observatory and tells of selfishness.
The narrator is aside the story as the scene unveils.
