DreamsA Poem by Brian AguiarFree-verse poem
Dreams
Slippery, greasy, ungraspable aspirations so near yet,
still so far out of reach. Seeming such simple things to grab hold of and maybe I’ve held them once, or was it twice? And maybe I’ll live to see the day When I’ll clench them once again Before they slither away once more. Not too far away. Close enough to taunt me, Close enough to tempt me, Close enough to torture me,
But always out of reach. © 2020 Brian Aguiar |
