The awaited loveA Story by Corrie WhovianThey both had a secret...
Chelsea smiled as her mother took her senior graduation picture. This was it.. graduation! She had worked so hard to get here and it felt like a great amount of pressure was removed from her shoulders. Her father was bringing the car around the side of the school. Chelsea chatted with a few of her friends before meandering to the stairs. Her mother was talking to a teacher. She sighed and looked at all the others in her class. Chelsea was congratulated on her valedictorian speech and she thanked the students with a smile. To everyone, Chelsea was a perfect stereotype. Her parents were middle aged, christian, married, same skin color, and loved her dearly. She was popular. Straight A student. The only thing she didn't have was the handsome boyfriend.
Vivian sighed and took off her robes after Graduation. Her parents had not come, but that wasn't new to her. Her friends gave her smiles and exchanged small remarks as she passed them. She thanked them and walked to the steps of the highschool. She sat down and ran her hand through her Ginger hair. She waited for a while, watching the students disappear and walk into the real life. She was a good student, sure.. but she knew that her life wasn't going anywhere good. Her parents made sure to squash any of her dreams. She looked up, there was only one person left at the school. The valedictorian.... Chelsea was her name. Vivian looked at Chelsea's blonde hair hanging down her back. She shook her head and looked down. Chelsea watched as people left. She was alone ((or so she thought)). She began to take off her Robes, revealing a white T-shirt and shorts on. Her heels went inside her hat as she switched to converse. She took her long blonde hair and twisted it as she placed a pony tail in her hair. Chelsea smiled and put her robe and hat in a bag. She hid her ponytail underneath a baseball cap and sat on the steps of the school. She stayed still for only a moment before getting up and walking away from the steps, never looking back. Vivian watched the transformation and left minutes after Chelsea had. She put on her black sunglasses on and put on her hat as well. Her blue Tshirt waved in the slight breeze as she walked past the library. Vivian caught a glance of herself in the mirror; a teen who had on a Rainbow hat and black sunglasses on. Her blue shirt still waving and her faded short shorts gave way to the bleached white skin underneath. Vivian sighed and walked around the library to the huge field. She took the long way to her hideout. It was the best time to go. She saw the abandoned house on the hill and smiled softly. Chelsea walked silently through the mall, looking for some good food and a book. The book she found, the food she did not find. Chelsea shrugged and put the book in her backpack ((After paying for it of course xD)) before heading out of the mall. She sat on a bench and checked the contents of her backpack. There was a blanket, flashlight, the new book, some food ((apples, chips, nuts, etc)) and then there was her clothes. She stood up and smiled, satisfied with herself. Chelsea walked to the neighborhood and waved to some people who knew her. She was thinking about her past four years as she walked. Everything was normal... except one thing. Chelsea bit her lip as memories of that one girl passed through her. Her heart started to race as she remembered how the girl waved at her once. She had bit her lip back then as well. She looked up at the abandoned house and smiled, her comfort zone. Vivian sat on the back porch underneath the window of the house. Her neck craned over her perched knees. A pen moved in her left hand over a small book that was hidden from anyone else's view. She wrote vigorously as images flashed in her mind. Chelsea was on her mind. Vivian blushed and wrote more vigorously. She bit her lip as she remembered how Chelsea smiled at her. Maybe it wasnt at her though.. maybe she was smiling at someone behind her.. she still doubted it even though they made eye contact that day. Vivian looked up at the sunset and smiled to herself. It was peaceful here.. she liked the house... maybe she would buy it one day. There were footsteps behind her.. in the house. Vivian frowned, who could it be? she wondered and stood up, brushing off her shorts. Chelsea set her bag in a room and sets up her blanket and clothes pile before walking to the kitchen. She put her food inside an empty cupboard and smiles. Alone at last she thought as she sat on the counter. Suddenly a shadow was cast. Chelsea looked up and saw a woman.. no, not just any woman... but her. Chelsea jumped off the counter and walked outside to meet Vivian. It was a few minutes before either of them said anything. Chelsea spoke first. "Hey.." "Hey" "Your Vivian right?" "Yeah.. and your Chelsea correct?" "Mhmm!" There was a long pause between the two. "Do you want me to leave?" Vivian asked with her head looking down a bit. Chelsea bit her lip and decided to take the risk. She had wanted Vivian since freshmen year.. now was her chance. Chelsea took Vivian's hand and said softly "Id love it... if you would stay for a while." Vivian smiled and nodded "Okay"
