Ten inches awayA Poem by LoreMasterHe was that close to lifeLook at her smile, ten inches away from me, Her face inside her rectangular frame, sweet and sadly
Pebbles inside a glass jar, thin wooden stick, Picture frame, simple, elegant and hand-made Ever-smiling at me, while my clocks start to tick, Night comes to day so forth, but her smile never fades
Hair covered her precious eyes, jet black hair Eyes that say I love you, words wash away every nightmare Cheeks soft as clouds, let me feel them warm Hold my soul as tight as ever with your arm
A smile so sweet, happy and hides her sadness, Think of her, only her, just her, maybe this is madness She's just ten inches away from me Anyone, please wake me up to reality
Oh, I've kissed that forehead, I've kissed those eyes, I miss those kisses, love, there's no goodbyes I've felt her love me, move me to another place Like dreams where all I ever see is her face
Tell me she'd stay forever in her smile, I'll breath in your life and I'll stay for a while Then breath out yours and give me air, I'll be honest, I will be the best, I will be fair
Golden you make the world to me Ever as simple our complicated lives could be Oh, yes, I'll make you mine, a dream in a dream, Because dreams last forever, no matter how short they seem
Sing to me, speak softly in my ear, Kiss my frozen lips and hold me dear Dont let me die now, not now, eliminate goodbyes, Ten inches away, in a world full of sad lies, All he ever saw was her begging eyes © 2008 LoreMaster |
