On My MindA Poem by TheAdventOfI hate to admit That you’re always on my mind Like headlights in the rearview At three o’ clock in the morning That I just can’t seem to shake… Fear, but at the same time The need to know: Who’s the driver, And where have they been, And has it been so hard, And are they even feeling The same curiosity And impersonal companionship In that brief eye contact Before we speed off And never cross each other’s mind again. I hate to admit That you’re always on my mind When I know I’m not on yours. © 2010 TheAdventOfReviews
