EternalA Poem by TheAdventOfJust thinking about homeI wonder if all the tiny sea shells and pebbles Get tired of being tossed around in the tide. Always somewhere new, New homes, New friends, New crushes, Or a lack of all three. Maybe they came from far out in the sea Brought up by turmoil in the sand, A long journey by way of its surroundings. Or they came from the sidewalks, Kicked down by everyone who walked the shoreline Never once noticing what they’d done. Either way, they’re where they are now, Eternally tossed by kids, Floating momentarily, Or tossed back onto the beach, But never still. I wonder what they would say About all the things they’d seen Or how they got here. I wonder if they even know what’s going on. © 2010 TheAdventOfReviews
