The TechnicianA Poem by TheAdventOfWorked for 30-something hours one weekend, felt like this poem got a bigger picture across.Nobody appreciates the technicians behind the stage Working the lights and running the sound Making sure everything goes perfectly Like a fine tuned machine for an entertained audience Nobody appreciates what we did to make this happen Hours before crowds got here, and hours after they left Working past the point of tiredness for a “thanks” That was said in obligation Nobody appreciates what I’d done here, I’m just a backstage pass on call for the next task Lying on the ground, staring at the ceiling While the occasional audience member spots me and says: “He’s not even doing anything.” © 2010 TheAdventOfReviews
