Ignorance

The title says it all

I didn't know

About all the problems I had

Oh it was wonderful

Living each day like nothing ever went wrong

It was a dream come true

Then I woke up

That vision came crashing down

I realized not everything was good

That I'd been used and forgotten

My happiness was false

At least, somewhat

I didn't know what happened

But now I do

I know more of who I am

Instead of running from my problems I can face them

Although I don't always

Sometimes it scares me

Makes me question myself

Fear that I'm not good enough 

That I can't do things right

Ignorance has brought me bliss

But it has also brought fear

And knowledge

And a will to fight back

Ignorance isn't bliss

At least, not always
