A Poem by The They
"

what a joke...

"
Life,

Through the differentiation

Of its own self-engendering movement,

veils its own eyes

to the privilege of its self-experience.

What a joke when

a life full of contemplation

has only to show for its efforts

the understanding that occurs

when the mind is silenced by its own contradictions.

Understanding that

When I see you,

I see me.

I'm enthralled. Your pieces are epic. This short, yet powerful piece truly describe, in part, our state of being.

Brilliant and so, so true.

"when the mind is silenced by its own contradictions" Such great lines in here. The best part of the poem, and one I relate to the most is the end with the conclusion, "When I see you/ I see me," that's such a powerful line and a thought that raced through my mind for a long time! Beautiful

few lines... but in these few lines you have created such a multilayer piece... the tale of universal truth about life, how we deal with all the premonitions and then all the dreams restrained by mind's contradictions....

Your poems often seem to be deeply introspective, calling up dualities and emerging self-awareness that is sometimes tragic. They remind me of philosophy as much as poetry.

Deeply intense for such a short write. Powerful. Wonderfully written. Nicely done!
