CrossroadsA Poem by Christian Varona
Crossroads By Christian Varona Here we stand, on a crossroads in our lives Choices will be made, though fate pulls us through shadows still unknown Shall we be bound, or will forces still unknown tear us apart Like a river flows, so does our love as it passes unrelenting through the holes left in our hearts, never resting in an endless journey, stories written at the start Chorus: Our love shall brave all broken roads Sail on through stormy seas Hang on to love and what we know And all shall be at peace But if our love should falter and life pull us apart Read my lips and mend the broken pages of my heart Bridge: Here I kneel unmoving, scattered roses at my feet All is silent as your place your trembling hand upon your cheek An endless pause and all goes still, I anticipate the fall… Do I stay, or do I spend my life searching for a distant truth Will our love prevail, as decisions shape grounds beneath our feet? Brave the broken trail, love will guide us through the jagged rocks below Like a river flows, so does our love as it passes unrelenting through the holes left in out hearts, never resting in an endless journey, stories written at the start Chorus: x whateva Our love shall brave all broken roads Sail on through stormy seas Hang on to love and what we know And all shall be at peace But if our love should falter and life pull us apart Read my lips and mend the broken pages of my heart Bridge: Here I kneel unmoving, scattered roses at my feet All is silent as your place your trembling hand upon your cheek An endless pause and all goes still, I anticipate the fall…. A ring upon your finger tells the story tells it all…. © 2008 Christian Varona |
