Before We Parted

Before We Parted

A Poem by Tim Schultz

Before we parted,
I sprayed your cigarettes
With my cologne--
So you would think of me
On smoke breaks
In alley ways,
Between brick walls,
Trapped.

And so
The additional chemicals
Will make what calms you
Kill you
Faster.
